Australian Spotted Jellyfish (Phyllorhiza punctata)

Overview

Australian spotted jellyfish (Phyllorhiza punktata) look similar to spotted lagoon jellyfish (Mastigius papua) but has more small white spots throughout their body, and has white tips on the top of their appendages. Originally distributed in Australian to Indo-Pacific ocean but now spread to Gulf of Mexico and Hawaii. The body colour varies normally from oval to brown, often light blue to green. They have symbolic algae and a full spectrum lighting is required for their healthy growth, as well as the daily feeding of live baby brine shrimp
