Comb Jellyfish (Bolinopsis sp.)

A beautiful ctenophore species which commonly seen in coastal water across the world. They are named comb jellyfish after the distinctive groups of cilia they use for swimming. Some of this species are seen in deep seas (1000-1500m). Unlike cnidarian jellyfish, ctenonphore do not have nematocyte ( stinging cells).
